The name of this Lori Morris painting is called: “Poise Island Arbutus” and is a 10” x 20″, an original oil painting on stretched canvas (Ready To Hang).

As a BC artist I find so much inspiration while out on the water.  It is there that I am able to get closer to the beautiful areas where Arbutus and Madrone trees overhang the ocean.

The reference for this coastal painting came from the coast of Poise Island in Porpoise Bay, Sechelt Inlet. Every time I see madrone trees with colourful bark, reaching over the ocean, I imagine how I will turn it into west coast art.
