“Backlit Arbutus on Martin Bay” is a 24" x 48" arbutus tree painting inspired by the coastal beauty of Martin Bay on the Francis Peninsula, Sunshine Coast BC, part of my collection of west coast art. The orginal has sold but as it is my favorite subject matter, I would be glad to create a custom original in this style.
 
This wide-format coastal painting features a majestic arbutus tree leaning in from the shoreline, backlit against a soft teal sky. A deer rests quietly in the tree’s shadow, and seagulls are taking to flight, adding a peaceful and story-like element to the scene. Also depicted, is the rocky shoreline of Martin Bay, detailed with driftwood and natural textures, creating balance across the composition.
