“Smugglers Dream Arbutus” is a 24" x 36" arbutus tree painting inspired by the dramatic coastal scenery near Smugglers Cove on the Sunshine Coast BC, a part of my collection of west coast art. This original acrylic painting on stretched canvas is currently available.
 
This piece features a large arbutus tree growing sideways across the composition, stretching over a sweeping coastal view including Grant Island on the left and Welcome Passage beyond. In the distance, Texada Island and Vancouver Island complete the layered horizon, creating depth and atmosphere typical of the British Columbia coast.
